Terrible Role Models

How do I answer this one… there were a lot of lessons I wish I would’ve learned earlier or at least not so arrogant as to listen to my parents. So, I say confidence, and yes this can be a life lesson. I didn’t learn this unfortunately until around 2018, yes late bloomer.😂 what I mean by it is confidence in myself, I had to believe it and not just put on the act in front of family, friends, and coworkers. Earlier on in life I really had to act like I had confidence, even though on the inside I was so sick to my stomach. Kinda like when your spouse has to take a pregnancy test 😳😂

If I would’ve learned this lesson earlier in life, I think I would’ve had the courage to do what my mom had mentioned when I was a teenager and suggested I should do standup comedy. Now, with that being said I do not have regrets at all with the path I have taken, I have just taken a detour….but eventually get to the end goal.

So, life lessons through an eyes as a step parent is quite the challenge also. Watching the kids grow up and realize that I or their mother may attempted to have them learn some of those life lessons is like watching paint dry sometimes 👀😂 but they have to figure it out, I always call my mom and say “mom, how did you have so much patience with me?” She always laughs, and says I had to figure it out.
